Some good choices there. It certainly would be nice to have the missing Dad’s Army back, though there’s three episodes missing, not two, I’m afraid. Not Only… But Also I’d give anything to get back – I did help recover a series one episode a few years back – and the same with Out of the Unknown. The sad truth is there’s just so much that’s been wiped.

    zombiebacon, thanks for the correction.
Just a quick question. Do you know where I can obtain a copies of “Out of the Unknown”. I’ve just brought the book by Mark Ward and I also got a copy (some very poor indeed) of 18 of the shows. I’m after the latest two finds, ‘Tunnel Under the World’ and ‘Level Seven’ plus the audio that survive for two of the others. Any help would be appreicated. I need them for an article.

I do plan on pertitioning and puting together a list of shows and their profiles to present to BBC 4 with the hopes of getting them to reserve one late night slot a week for rebroadcasting of the shows that have lost episodes.

I’m afraid I don’t, but your article sounds interesting and I wish you every success with it. Perhaps contact Kaleidoscope, as they brought out the book?

  4. I hope they find these top 10 cult tv shows.
