I was aware that this cut existed ever since viewing the occasional broadcast of this B/W episode on the ABC in Australia in 1979 and 1980 and various showings on Foxtel in the 1990's. A casual viewing of this episode shows a pretty obvious jump at the scene in question.

The original cutting would most likely have been of a 16 mm B/W film print. I was always doubtful that this scene would be rediscovered, as I felt that the cut clips were usually only kept for 30 years, which would have been up in 2003 at the latest. It is fantastic that this clip has been found and hopefully can be integrated into the episode fully.

Although it will always remain a B/W film print copy at heart, it is good to know that it will now be complete.
